I can’t open it on my phone because of a “content blocker” (which I’ve never seen before), but that’s very common. My mom used to do hospice work, and with older couples, it was very very often the case that the survivor would die within a year of the death of the other.

I didn’t cry.

They got to live long, happy lives and had enough resources to be able to afford going into a care facility and other health care benefits.

This is actually a happy outcome.

I’ll feel sad for people who have had their lives wrecked by a crappy family law system, had their lives wrecked by the insane War On Drugs and people who have to flee their homes due to war.
